NMG Studio responsible for National Media Group's investments in content production announces the completion of transaction to acquire a 25% stake in Keystone Production. As a result of this transaction, NMG Studio will expand the production of content for NMG's TV and digital resources, as well as for theatrical distribution.
Keystone Production founders — Dmitry Dyachenko and Alexander Rubtsov — served as producers of one of the biggest CTC hits — the TV series Kitchen, and its sequel, Hotel Eleon. In addition, Dyachenko directed such films as What Men Talk About, SuperBobrovs, and Last Knight, which had the biggest box office among Russian films soon after its release. Acquisition of a stake in Keystone Production will allow NMG to confirm its status as a producer of screening blockbusters and top-rated series.
Vyacheslav Murugov, president of NMG Studio: "Dmitry Dyachenko and Alexander Rubtsov were among creators of Kitchen, a CTC blockbuster surrounded by the whole universe consisting of several spin-offs and two feature length movies. Dmitry is a director who perfectly understands the Russian audience, which is proved by the box office of his smash hits — first of all, the Last Knight. That's why we are so happy to complete the transaction with Keystone and wait for new joint projects that will be seen by millions of viewers on TV, in cinemas and on NMG's digital recourses."
