On October 23 the fifth award ceremony of the winners of the Russian national award for the best television programs for children "TEFI - kids" was held at the Et Cetera theater. This year 203 applications have been submitted for participation - a record number for all five years of the award. For the first time entries have been accepted on online platforms or in theatrical distribution in Russia from April 1, 2022 to April 1, 2023. There were 11 nominations in total.

NMG's project Three Cats and a Sea of Adventures won in the Best Animated Film category. Evgeny Shelyakin was ranked first in the Best Director category, and his project "Aunt Marta" was recognized to be the best series for children and family viewing. The "Sengeldek" program won in the Best Daily Infotainment Program category. The prize for the best TV channel went to "Mult TV". Tina Kandelaki was recognized as the best program host. In the category "Best Design of a TV channel/program/internet project" the first place took "Vkusnyashki Show". The program "Good Night, Kids" won in the category "Best Music". "Leva the Trucker" took home the prize in the Best Animated Series for Children category. The best TV program for children - "Confectioner. Children." Cheburashka won in the Best Feature Film category.

The TEFI-Kids Award was established in 2019 by the Academy of Russian Television. It encourages the most significant works of professionals in the field of children's content. The project involves the development of educational and cultural functions of regional and federal children's television, raising the qualification level of employees of children's TV channels and helping professionals to share experience.
