On September 24, National Media Group (NMG) launches an online service more.tv and announces the launch of a portfolio of more originals digital products.
First runs of Russian and foreign series, the whole library of TV channels on an exclusive basis, a large collection of family-centered films and shows from international studios, streaming of terrestrial and pay TV channels, important events in global sports — all of this will now be available to users of the new platform for free with ads or as part of single subscription. On September 24, the more.tv subscription will also appear in Rostelecom and MegaFon TV packages.
more.tv has collected an exclusive portfolio of series from Russian TV channels and international studios. First runs of Russian series will be released before they are shown on TV. First runs of foreign series will be released at the same time as all over the world. The new platform presents the exclusive content of terrestrial channels owned by NMG and VGTRK who served as the more.tv partner.
The production of original content — own-produced series and shows — has started especially for the platform, and they will be released under the more originals brand as early as in this season. Some projects are already in progress.
Within a month, the service will be available in the open beta mode. Samsung becomes an exclusive partner of launch on Smart TV
Olga Paskina, CEO of National Media Group (NMG): "Our objective as a media holding company is to be present in all segments where our audience is. We build up the dialog with viewers, including in the digital environment. The more.tv service will help users to get access to high-quality content on the internet. Emergence of an OTT platform is a naturally determined step in development of our ecosystem."
Denis Gorshkov, CEO of more.tv:"Our launch is only the first step in the functional and content development of the service and the platform. We are deliberately launching the service in the open beta mode, to collect user's feedback quickly and efficiently. And of course our key specialty is the content. At last Ivanovs-Ivanovs will meet the Walking Dead and Voronins will meet the iconic Friends within one service. Key Russian and international first runs can be now seen in one place, including by the single subscription, without ads. And very soon we are going to start releasing our own projects within the more originals portfolio, and they will be made exclusively for more.tv!"
