National Media Group has become a general partner of the first virtual market of Russian content — Key Buyers Event: Digital Edition, where over 120 Russian companies will present 300 new projects to buyers and producers from 55 countries. The event will be held online on June 8-15.
NMG and NMG Studio responsible for the Holding Company’s investments in content production are presenting about 30 projects, including feature length films made by Art Pictures Studio and Vodorod, series from the more originals portfolio, as well as series, animation and formats of CTC Media, 5TV, and REN TV. The holding company’s projects will be sold by Art Pictures Distribution.
New Holding Company’s projects include Psycho, the first series directed by Fyodor Bondarchuk, Happy End, a series about the inside of porn industry, as well as Chicks, a dramedy about four girls from a small town who decided to open their own business. All three projects are included in the more originals portfolio of the more.tv service.
In addition, NMG will present the first non-fiction film in the history of Art Pictures Studio — a documentary project Bondarchuk about the director, actor and script writer Sergey Bondarchuk; it is also finalizing negotiations to sell the film Sputnik, which has earlier been selected for the program of the international festival TriBeCa, to foreign countries.
Moreover, Key Buyers Event will feature the Holding Company’s series that have already been released (Kitchen. War for the Hotel, Roots), as well as forthcoming projects of the autumn season — a dramedy Brothers and a nostalgic comedy Guests from the Past. In addition to series, NMG will present its own formats — for example, The Fixer from CHE! and a new family show Kids and Olds.
