On February 5, 2021, Olga Paskina left the position of CEO of National Media Group (NMG) after five successful years at the company.
The new CEO of the holding company will be Svetlana Balanova.
Olga implemented a strategy that resulted in the creation of a diversified asset portfolio with a presence in all media segments. NMG’s revenue soared from RUB 14.4 billion in 2015 to RUB 68.9 billion in 2020, and the company took a leading position in terms of its TV viewership in Russia, with a total audience share of 26%.
“I'm proud that in five years our team has elevated NMG to the leading media holding company in Russia. NMG is all about people, about creative products, about unity and a drive for success. I'm grateful to our shareholders and the Board of Directors for their confidence in me and for the opportunity to implement my creative vision over these years. My team has always been the source of my strength and inspiration, and the key to our success, and I thank everyone for that,” said Olga Paskina.
Prior to her appointment as NMG CEO, Svetlana Balanova served as First Deputy CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding. She previously headed IBS, a leading IT service company in Russia, for eight years.
“I’m delighted to be joining the outstanding and successful NMG team and I hope that my knowledge and experience will help the company to achieve new heights,” said Svetlana Balanova.
